The cica lip balm is soothing and restorative, and can definitely be used as extra care on lips with a cold sore.
Note: it is not a medicinal treatment, so for active or recurring cold sores, we also recommend using a specific treatment.
The cica lip balm is ideal for lip care after winter sports. It helps repair damaged lips, provides intense nourishment, and protects after exposure to cold, wind, and dry air. The formula does not contain SPF, as it focuses entirely on repair and care.

Works super well, if my lips are chapped/dry and I apply it to my lips in the evening before going to bed, they are almost completely back to normal the next morning.
It is soft on your lips when you apply it, but once it has been absorbed, they become chapped again.

I've been a huge fan of Ray products for several years, but this is the first time I've been dissatisfied with a product. This balm really dries out my lips. I feel like I have to use a lot of it because it's so thin.
