Ingredients that work

A healthy deodorant that still allows you to sweat or a sustainable shampoo that doesn't clean your hair, you won't keep using.

The most important aspect in the development of a Ray product is that it functions as you would expect it to.

We develop all Ray products ourselves in the pharmacy. This allows us to immediately incorporate feedback to continuously improve our products.

More than just natural

Ray is completely natural, but also contains no natural ingredients that could potentially cause skin irritation such as linalool, geraniol, limonene, or citronellol.

Natural ingredients are not necessarily healthy or sustainable.

Ray contains as few ingredients as possible to minimize the risk of allergies or irritations.

Good for your health

Each ingredient is analyzed separately and approved for potential health risks such as cancer, hormone disruption, skin irritation, immune system disruption, and pigmentation spots.

Every product from Ray always scores a 93 or 100/100 on the Yuka health app.

Less is more

But the more different ingredients there are, the greater the chance of allergies and irritations. That's why Ray contains only active ingredients that contribute to the product's active effect or functional ingredients that improve the structure or experience.

Ingredients included purely for marketing considerations are always avoided.

You will never find these ingredients in our products.

Mineral oil or Petroleum

May be contaminated with toxic substances and disrupt hormones. They can also cause irritation.

Silicones

Remain on the hair and skin. Do not provide an active effect on the skin and are not biodegradable.

Citrus oils

Linalool, limonene, geraniol, and citronellol can cause irritation, provoke allergies, and induce reactions with the sun (pigmentation spots).

Microplastics

Materials such as polyethylene or nylon are not biodegradable and therefore accumulate in nature.

Sulfates

Sodium lauryl sulfate or sodium laureth sulfate are irritating to the skin and eyes. They can also damage the hair follicle.

Formaldehyde releasers

Imidazolidinyl urea and DMDM hydantoin release formaldehyde slowly, may be mutagenic, and can cause cancer. Often used as a preservative.

Essential oils

Essential oils can cause irritation and allergic reactions. Moreover, they are not recommended during pregnancy.

Congratulations

Parabens such as methylparaben and propylparaben disrupt our hormonal balance and are likely carcinogenic.

These are some of our favorite ingredients.

Vegetable oils and butters

Almond, coconut oil, and other plant-based oils/butters contain substances similar to those in our skin. They keep our skin healthy and contain vitamins that act as antioxidants.

Squalane

Squalane from sugarcane is a part of our own skin and works as an antioxidant, restorative, and soothing agent.

Glycerine

Glycerin (vegetable) is naturally a part of our skin and hair. It is one of the most hydrating products for our body and hair.

Sodium Levulinate / Anisate

Plant-based preservatives that are perfectly healthy and moreover keep the products fresh for a very long time.
